Stop creating web sites that only work in IE!

My NewsThis is REALLY annoying. The bill payment section of the Verizon Wireless site does not work with Mozilla or Firefox (Windows or Linux), and only seems to work with IE on Windows. What the hell? There is no excuse these days to code sites for IE only. There wasn't much excuse to do that years ago either, especially for something like accepting credit card payments.

The site doesn't even warn you that your current browser isn't compatible or that you need IE. When you try to submit the payment, it just brings you back to the page that you selected a payment type on. No confirmation... It just leaves you wondering if your payment went through. It didn't.

I pay my home phone bill to the dark lords of Verizon monthly using Firefox under Windows XP. I have been doing so for the last 6 months I believe. Maybe it's some plugin that you are using or some evil hex put upon your computers or something....
