Uh.. What?

Check this out: http://www.technewsworld.com/story/news/41465.html

Researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago are saying here that obesity will reduce life expectancy in the US, putting less of a strain on Social Security. So, unless you're someone I know, eat up and enjoy!

I wonder if the fast food and junk food industry will pull a Philip Morris (now known as Altria Group) with this.

To Quote:

The premature deaths of smokers has economic benefits, according to a controversial report commissioned by a leading US cigarette manufacturer. The report, drawn up for tobacco giant Philip Morris Inc, found that the Czech Republic saved about $147m in 1997 through the deaths of smokers who would not live to use healthcare or housing for the elderly.
