JFK Assassination Game

So a Scottish company has a new computer game out that challenges the player to recreate the assassination of U.S. president John F. Kenndey, in a game called JFK Reloaded.

Yeah, I'd tend to agree with the article that this is a bit creepy.

The company that made the game, Traffic, says it was intended to be educational, and to debunk conspiracy theories about the assassination, supporting the conclusion that the killing was done with three bullets fired by Lee Harvey Oswald, acting alone. Well that's nice. I suppose that they could have created the game as a general ballistics/sniper simulation, and players could have tried to recreate a JFK assassination scene on their own if they chose. But Traffic decided to create that scene for the player and focus the whole thing around the murder of a U.S. president. However, the game probably would not have gotten this much publicity if it were merely touted as a ballistics simulator. Oh well.

Understandably, the Kennedy family is rather annoyed at the release of this game. If this game were about the murder of one of my relatives, I'd be a bit pissed also. The game may be certainly educational if the physicas in the game are accurate, but it's still in bad taste.
